hold in custody, and preserve all archival
materials, pertaining to the nation's history, and to disseminate the
information to the public


My India
born grand mother, Somwaria, died 11 days after the birth of
my father Mohamed Ashin in 1929. My
father's sister, Rasulan, who was living in Canefield, Canje,
Berbice, passed away few years ago after giving birth to a baby girl. That
girl, lives with her aunt Rafatan in Vryheid, Berbice, Guyana. The
three surviving first generation are as follows: My father, Mohamed Ashin, residing in Canada, Haji Nizamuddin is residing in USA and Ratan (sister), residing in Guyana Guyana watch -floods |

live in a house that extended towards the Blairmont

In 1902, British kidnapped my
great grandmother with five daughters ,exported
and
enslaved them in British Guiana

They were living
in Rampur, Blairmont Estate, Berbice.Guyana



My mother, Mrs Mooneran Ashin
Expired on January 28, 2005.
Was born at Bushlot, West Berbice.
Sisters - Isha (expired), Hazra (Guyana) Saira (Guyana) and Halima (Canada)
Brothers - Zinul, Nazo, Hamid, Badulla and Sheik Haroon (Muslim Missionary) Expired, and John Mohamed of Anandale
Never attended School.
Later, attended Blairmont Muslim Women Organization and became a Fundamentalist
